Soo teams win
Soo Greyhounds and Soo Eagles both scored home-ice victories on Friday while Soo Thunderbirds won on the road.
GREYHOUNDS 3, BELLEVILLE BULLS 2
Goalie Brandon Halverson made 40 saves as the Greyhounds improved their Ontario Hockey League record to 12-5 with the win over the Bulls.
The Hounds are home to the Barrie Colts tonight in a 7:07 start at the Essar Centre.
EAGLES 6, SPRINGFIELD JR. BLUES 4
The Eagles scored three times in the third period to erase a 4-3 deficit and boost their North American Hockey League record to 11-9.
Keegan Miller and Nick Belger both had two-goal, one-assist outings to spark the Soo past Springfield.
The two teams meet again tonight in a 7:00 puck drop at Pullar Stadium.
THUNDERBIRDS 4, COCHRANE CRUNCH 0
Mario Culina made 33 saves as the Thunderbirds improved their Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League record to 15-2-1 with the road triumph.
