Tryout, pre-draft camps

For many hockey teams, the 2013-2014 season has ended.

However, in the majority of cases, preparation for the 2014-2015 campaign is already underway.

Spring and summer tryout camps — and in some instances, pre-draft camps — have been scheduled.

Following is a list of upcoming camps for various teams in various leagues.

Soo Thunderbirds of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League will hold their annual spring tryout camp this Friday and Saturday at John Rhodes Community Centre.

Registration fee is $165 per player.

Blind River Beavers of the NOJHL are holding a tryout camp May 9-10 at John Rhodes Community Centre in Sault Ste. Marie.

Soo Indians major midgets of the Michigan Amateur Hockey Association will be holding their main and only tryout camp June 28-29 at the Lake Superior State University’s Taffy Abel Arena.

Soo Eagles of the North American Hockey League will be holding a pre-draft camp May 16-18 at Big Bear Arena.

Brookings Blizzard of the NAHL will be holding a pair of pre-draft camps.

The first will be May 16-18 in Duluth, Minnesota.

The second will be May 30-June 1 in Rogers, Minnesota.
