Tryout time in Smooth Rock Falls
Led by coach Richard Solomon, general manager Cory Hofferd and scout Jody (Bad News) Biedermann, the Smooth Rock Falls Thunder of the Thunder Bay Jr. B. Hockey League has set the dates for its first-ever tryout camp.
The new Smooth Rock Falls entry will holds its initial tryout camp on Tuesday (Sept. 1) and Thursday (Sept. 3) at the Tim Horton Event Centre in Cochrane.
Tryout times are 8:30-10 p.m. both days and are open to players born in 1995, 1996 and 1997.
The Smooth Rock Falls team is owned by Ryan Leonard, who also owns, manages and coaches the Cochrane Crunch of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League.
Smooth Rock Falls will serve as an affiliate team for Cochrane.
