Hounds shine at Silver Sticks
Coached by former Ontario Hockey League standout Craig Kennedy, the Soo Jr. Greyhounds under 12 boys made some history at the recent Whitby Silver Sticks AAA hockey tournament.
That is, by making it to the finals, they became the first AAA team from the Soo to ever make it that far at the Whitby Silver Sticks.
And while they didn’t come home with gold, the under 12 Jr. Hounds did return to the Soo with silver from the Oshawa Silver Sticks.
Aforementioned, 38-year old coach Craig Kennedy played five OHL seasons as a top forward with the Windsor Spitfires and concluded his time with them as team captain.
