Vendramin recognition night

Scoring machine Ryan Vendramin will be honoured by the Sault College Cougars on Friday night when the men begin the 2021-2022 season with a home game against Trine University. Game time is 7:30 at Rankin Arena with opening ceremonies slated to begin at 7:00.

The 26-year old Vendramin captained Sault College through its first two seasons as the only Canadian member of the American Collegiate Hockey Association and was player of the year both times by totaling an amazing 255 points in 65 games and a national championship in 2019.

Vendramin graduated from the Sault College police foundations program with a perfect 4.0 grade point average. He was hired by the Sault Ste. Marie police department in December, 2020 and was seriously injured in the line of duty in September of this year.

As for this Friday’s Vendramin recognition night at the Rankin, doors will open at 6:30, tickets are $8 and proof of vaccination is required.
