Ryan Vendramin will be staying home this fall to continue his athletic career at Sault College of Applied Arts and Technology.

Vendramin, who has a 1995 birth date, has opted to play for the Sault College Cougars after a high-scoring career at the major midget and junior A hockey levels.

In going to play for Sault College, Vendramin will be reunited with his former Soo North Stars midget coach Mike Hall. Playing for Hall and the North Stars during the 2012-2013 Great North Midget Hockey League season, the 6-foot-3, 180-pound Vendramin scored 63 goals in 45 games, playoffs included.

Vendramin then went on to play three seasons with the Sarnia Legionnaires of the Greater Ontario Jr. Hockey League and totaled 82 goals. He also got into 20 Ontario Hockey League games with the Sarnia Sting.

An accomplished golfer, Vendramin also plans on playing golf for coach Dan Missere while at Sault College.
