Ben Miller, a 1994 birth-year forward from Timmins, Ont., has committed to the St. Charles Spirit of the new Canadian International Hockey League for the 2014-2015 season.

A 6-foot, 180 pound centre, Miller had 5 goals, 10 assists, 15 points in 28 games for the Abitibi Eskimos of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League in 2013-2014 before a knee injury ended his season.

“We are very happy to announce that Ben has committed to play for the Spirit,” St. Charles general manager Scott Ginson told HockeyNewsNorth.com. “Ben is an experienced junior forward who will be counted on for offence as well as his strong leadership skills.”

What you think about “Abitibi Eskimos to St. Charles Spirit”

  1. Good for young Miller to get this oportunity. Ben is a good kid from a good family who has overcome a lot as a 16 year old he had a form of cancer and beat it. Like I say good kid from a good family and a good player. Good Luck to you Ben!

  2. Abitibi’s loss is without a doubt St Charles’s gain on this signing. Great to see some quality nojhl players joining the CIHL. By all accounts, this player is great on and off the ice.

  3. When will the other player signings for St Charles Spirit be announced? Any updates on all other teams? Seem to see quite a bit of activity out of the Batchewana camp.

    1. OJL HSH,
