Batchewana Attack of the new Canadian International Hockey League will put its 3-0 record to the test tonight when it plays host to the visiting St. Charles Spirit.

Game time is 7:30 p.m. at Rankin Arena.

St. Charles figures to be a formidable foe for Batchewana. Well coached by Scott Ginson, the Spirit has a record of 2-1 and features a number of players who have prior junior hockey experience in other leagues.

The Attack goes into the game backed by the net duo of goalies Stefan Demetz and Jack Hickey and a blueline brigade led by the flashy Johan Kling and featuring local products Adam Baggs, Cade Nolan, Jeremy Solomon and Shane Zorzit.

Coached by peerless headmaster Denny Lambert, the Attack has scored 28 goals in its three games led by feared forward Grant Syrette, formerly of the Soo Thunderbirds of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League and Mississauga of the Ontario Hockey League.

Other forwards who have stood out for Batchewana in the early going of the 2014-2015 campaign include Jacob Palmerio, Darian Pilon, Drake Pilon, Chris Skinner, Brian Stack and Jason Uhl.
