The 2014 portion of the Canadian International Hockey League schedule wraps up today when the first-place Batchewana Attack plays host to the third-seeded Kalkaska Rhinos.

Game time is 2 p.m. at Rankin Arena. Today’s game features a special $5 ticket price.

Kalkaska, coached by former National Hockey League enforcer Krzysztof Oliwa, has picked up back-to-back wins on its northern Ontario road swing.

The rampaging Rhinos edged the second-place Espanola Rivermen 2-1 on Friday and doubled up the Sudbury Royals 4-2 on Saturday.

What you think about “Attack home to surging Rhinos”

  1. Brian P. : Well, it’s been 3 days. Have you found out what happened and if so, would you like to share? Thanks and Merry Christmas!

  2. If there is one big frustration from this league it is the lack of news, boxscores, etc. RR thank you for the news you bring us! I do know that this is a recognized shortcoming and that it is being worked on. All I’ve found on this game is a post on the Batchewana Facebook page announcing a win by forfeit midway through the second period. It said that the Kalkaska Rhinos forfeited the game after their coach was ejected. The Rhinos web site shows their game stats, for this game shows 30 minutes played and a 2-0 loss.

  3. Kalkaska’s coach was ejected from the game half way through the second period. Their assistant coach was out of town, so there was no other coach on the bench. The game could not continue without a coach on the bench, therefore, the forfeit. This is what I was told.
