Attack perfect at TC showcase
The perfection continues for the Batchewana Attack of the new Canadian International Hockey League.
The Attack won all three of its games at a weekend showcase tournament that was hosted by the reigning Midwest Jr. Hockey League champion Traverse City Hounds.
Not only did Batchewana upend Traverse City 4-1, it blanked the Soo Firehawks of the MWJHL 6-0 and cuffed the independent Kalkaska Rhinos 5-1.
The three wins boosts Batchewana’s pre-season record to a perfect 7-0.
The Attack will begin the inaugural, 2014-2015 CIHL regular season on Saturday, October 4 when it plays host to the Espanola Rivermen at 7:30 p.m. at Rankin Arena in Sault Ste. Marie.
Espanola was the other CIHL team that took part in the Traverse City tournament.
The Rivermen defeated Kalkaska 4-1 but lost to the Soo 2-1 and to Traverse City by a 4-2 margin.
Looking good for the Attack, but good showing for the Rivermen too, sounds like they got beat by a hot goalie Friday vs. Soo and close game vs. TC. Bring on the regular season!
Thank You some more Randy!!!!!
