Batchewana 3, Espanola 2

A goal by Chris Skinner with less than three minutes to play in the third period lifted the visiting Batchewana Attack to a 3-2 win over the Espanola Rivermen in Canadian International Hockey League on action Friday.

The win improved Batchewana’s record to 6-0 on the season.

Jesse Delavalle had the other two Batchewana goals before a crowd of of 681 in Espanola.

Andrei Yanovich and Cole Braney scored for Espanola.

Both goalies stood out in the contest.

Stefan Demetz made 34 saves for Batchewana and Trevor Kalinowski blocked 47 shots for Espanola.

  1. This was a great game to be at, easily as entertaining as any Rivermen NOJ game last season. And if anyone still doubts the quality of this hockey, come watch these two teams play.
