Scene from an opening Attack
A new junior hockey league arrived on the weekend and the Batchewana Attack and Espanola Rivermen were part of the debut with a Saturday night game at Rankin Arena.
Made up of eight teams, the new Ontario-based, Canadian International Hockey League became official with a number of regular-season-opening games, including Batchewana playing host to Espanola.
The Attack won its first-ever game, upending the visiting Rivermen by a 6-2 score.
