More than 400 fans took in the first-ever regular-season game of the Batchewana Attack on Saturday night at Rankin Arena.

And the home side did not disappoint as the Attack outshot the visiting Espanola Rivermen 47-18 en route to a 6-2 triumph in the new Canadian International Hockey League debut outing.

Defenseman Johan Kling sparked the Attack with three goals and Jake Palmerio, Darian Pilon and Rob DeLury added one apiece.

Byron Sam and Andrei Yankovich replied for the Rivermen.

What you think about “Season-opening Attack”

  1. Good game, good start to the season guys. I look forward to the rest of our year. Great atmosphere at the rink last night. The drummers were unreal and the support staff were excellent. We have something to build on here boys, keep up the good work.
