Milton Battle Arts Cobras of the new Canadian International Hockey League have gone local and signed twin brothers Brett and Zac McInal, HockeyNewsNorth.com has confirmed.

The twins, who are 1998 birth-year skaters, played for the Oakville Rangers minor midgets of the Ontario Minor Hockey Association in 2013-2014 — Brett as a high-scoring forward and Zac as a top defencemen.

The McInal twins, who hail from the Milton area, both have future aspirations of playing at the National Collegiate Athletic Association level.

The Battle Arts Cobras will play in the eight-team, Ontario-based, junior-level, CIHL under head coach Dennis Maruk, a former Ontario Hockey League and National Hockey League goal-scoring sensation.

The 58-year old Maruk, who starred in the OHL for the London Knights, then went on to play in more than 900 NHL games, once scoring 60 goals in a single season for the Washington Capitals.
