Two home exhibition games for Attack
Batchewana Attack of the new Canadian International Hockey League has scheduled two home exhibition games prior to the start of its inaugural 2014-2015 season.
The games will be played at the home rink of the Attack — Rankin Arena in Sault Ste. Marie.
First home exhibition game for the Attack is this Sunday at 2 p.m. at Rankin Arena against the Espanola Rivermen.
The Attack will then play host to the St. Charles Spirit on Friday, September 19 in a 7:30 p.m. start at Rankin Arena.
Admission to both exhibition games of the Attack is $5, with children under 5 years of age admitted free.
The 2014-2015 regular season for the Attack gets underway during the first week of October.
The Attack is coached by Denny Lambert, who had an 11-year association with the Soo Greyhounds of the Ontario Hockey League — three seasons as a player and eight seasons as a coach.
The 44-year old Lambert also played in more than 500 National Hockey League games as a hard-toiling left winger.
