Back in the Great North

There is a full slate of competition on the calendar as the Great North Midget Hockey League begins play in the 2020 portion of the schedule.

In the Soo, the first-place Jr. Greyhounds, with a record of 17-4-2, are home to the 5-11-1 North Bay Minor Trappers for games on Friday night at 8:00 and Saturday afternoon at 12:30.

Meanwhile, the Timmins Majors will bring a 9-9-2 record into a pair of weekend tests.

Coach Brandon Perry and his Major men are in Kapuskasing to play the 14-5-1 Flyers in a Friday night, 7:30 match. Timmins is then home to the Sudbury Minor Wolves, who will begin the weekend with a 1-11-1 mark, on Saturday evening at 7:30.

The Minor Wolves will start the weekend with a road tilt against the 5-11-2 New Liskeard Cubs on Friday at 8 p.m.
