The eight-member Great North Midget Hockey League — which is comprised of six major midget teams and two minor midget entries — has confirmed its award winners for the 2019-2020 season.
Regular season champions: Soo Jr. Greyhounds.
Most valuable player: Ryan Maynard, Kapuskasing Flyers.
Top forward: Nathaniel Lalonde, North Bay Major Trappers.
Top defenceman: Ryan Maynard, Kapuskasing Flyers.
Top goaltender: Jake Marois, Sudbury Nickel Capital Wolves.
Top defensive forward: Will Rivet, North Bay Major Trappers.
Most gentlemanly player: Alex Little, North Bay Major Trappers.
Rookie of the year: Devin Mauro, Soo Jr. Greyhounds.
Coach of the Year: Steve Polyblank, New Liskeard Cubs.
Trainers of the year: Andre Guenette, North Bay Major Trappers and David Losier, Kapuskasing Flyers.
Manager of the year: Stephane Tremblay, Kapuskasing Flyers.
Minor midget awards are as follows.
Most valuable player: Devin Mauro, Soo Jr. Greyhounds.
Top forward: Nico Laforge, North Bay Minor Trappers.
