It has been quite an early season hockey ride for young Lucas Dubois. The 2007 birth year forward has already put up points for both the New Liskeard Cubs of the Great North Under 18 Hockey League and his hometown Espanola Paper Kings of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League.

A 5-foot-8, 155 pound forward, Dubois has two assists in two games for New Liskeard to begin his first full season in the Great North.

And this past weekend, skating in his second NOJHL contest as an affiliate player for Espanola, Dubois fired a goal, added two assists, and was named the game’s first star as the Paper Kings clipped the Kirkland Lake Gold Miners by a 9-1 score.

“We are really impressed with his play,” Paper Kings general manager Marc Gagnon relayed to Hockey News North.

Prior to this season, Dubois played for the Nickel City Sons of the Nickel District Minor Hockey League.
