First win for Timmins Majors
Second-year skater Desmond Brazeau potted a pair of goals and added an assist as the Timmins Majors trimmed the New Liskeard Cubs 6-3 in Great North Midget Hockey League action from Friday night.
The win for Timmins was its first of the season and improved its record to 1-4-2 through seven outings to date. New Liskeard dropped to 0-4-0 with the defeat.
Besides Brazeau, fellow forward Pierre Racicot and defenseman Keaston (Sticks) Blais also had multiple-point matches for coach Brandon’s Perry’s Majors.
Racicot netted a goal and an assist and Blais put two helpers on the scoresheet in front of Timmins goalie Evan Nicholls, who picked up the win.
