Four straight for U18 Hounds

Soo Jr. Greyhounds of the Great North Under 18 Hockey League will take a streak of four successive victories into play this week. The Jr. Greyhounds are fresh from a home ice weekend sweep of the league leading Sudbury U18 Wolves.

The 3-2 and 3-0 wins over the U18 Wolves have boosted the Jr. Greyhounds record to 7-10-2 ahead of an upcoming road game on Wednesday in Sudbury against the U16 Wolves.

Goalie A.J. Borrelli was in the net for both of the Jr. Hounds victories over his former U18 Wolves team on the weekend. Borrelli now has the third best goals against average in the entire Great North, a 2.35 mark. He also has two shutouts on the season.

Offensively, three first-year players are atop the Jr. Hounds scoring chart. Seb Dos Reis has seven goals, 14 assists, 21 points followed by Danny MacDonald with 8-10-18 numbers and Espen Escasa with 6-11-17 totals.
