Nothing has been resolved as of yet in the two Great North Midget Hockey League semi-final series that are going on.

Soo Greyhounds and Kapuskasing Flyers both kept their season going with home-ice victories on Saturday night.

In the Soo, rookie sensation Camaryn Baber scored four times and the Greyhounds held off a third-period Sudbury rally to upend the Nickel Capital Wolves 7-5.

Sudbury now leads the best-of-five set 2-1 with Game 4 today at 12:30 p.m. at John Rhodes Community Centre in the Soo.

In Kapuskasing, the Flyers forced a fifth-and-deciding game in their series with the North Bay Trappers by virtue of a 5-0 blanking. Nicholas Dube posted the shutout for Kapuskasing.

Game 5 is set for Monday at 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Gardens in North Bay.

What you think about “Great North semis continue”

  1. I bet it was Carole!! Great people and program in Kap!! I couldn’t make it, to the game, so glad to see you guys went!!

  2. Interestingly enough Baber and Armstrong both 2001 birth year players score 5 of the 7 goals in this very important playoff game yet this coach drafted only three 2001 players on this team. Good job coach in developing and giving this OHL draft eligible age group of 01s absolutely zero exposure for the upcoming draft…
