Kapuskasing to Hearst
1999 birth-year goalie Nicholas Dube has signed with the Hearst Lumberjacks of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League via the Kapuskasing Flyers of the Great North Midget Hockey League.
HockeyNewsNorth.com has confirmed the signing of Dube, a 6-foot, 180-pound backstop who hails from the small northern Ontario town of Longlac.
Dube is fresh from a very good, 2016-2017 season at the Great North midget level.
He posted a 17-7-1 record with a 2.75 goals against average during the regular season as the no. 1 goalie in Kap and then followed it up with a 4-3 record and 1.55 goals against average through two rounds of the playoffs.
