Majors stun Jr. Greyhounds
This is the upset of the season thus far in the Great North Under 18 Hockey League. Playing at home, the Timmins Majors handed the Soo Jr. Greyhounds just their second loss of the season with a 3-2 victory.
Veteran forward Shawn Gagnon sparked Timmins with two goals and an assist and rookie Ian Lachance potted the game winner as the Majors improved their record to 9-6-2 on the season.
Harley Wardell and Rylan Fellinger replied for the league-leading Jr. Greyhounds, who now have a record of 14-2-0.
Today’s win was the third straight for head coach Steve Polyblank’s Majors of Timmins.
