Marson has a muscle injury

Sudbury U16 Nickel Capitals goalie Nick Marson has been advised by his physiotherapist to not participate at this weekend’s Team NOHA evaluation camp in North Bay.

Marson tore a muscle in his right hip during a recent Great North Under 18 Hockey League contest. And the 5-foot-10, 160 pound goalie has since been advised by the Pro Physio Rebab Centre in Sudbury that taking part in this weekend’s Team NOHA evaluation camp would risk further injury.

Marson is one of five 2007 birth year goalies from the GNU18HL invited to the Team NOHA camp.

A Sault Ste. Marie product, Marson has played well for the U16 Nickel Capitals this season. Facing an average of 40 shots per game, Marson has a 6-5-1 record and 3.39 goals against average on a U16 Nickel Capitals squad that has a team record of 9-13-1 and a 3.87 GAA.

Notably, Team NOHA will not finalize its roster for the March 28-April 3 OHL Cup Showcase Tournament until after the GNU18HL wraps up the 2022-2023 season with its playoff tournament in the latter half of March.

What you think about “Marson has a muscle injury”

  1. Nate Maguire i’m told from many scouts is the best 07 goalie in the league. What’s your take on him and the battle between him and marson?

  2. hearing word that maguire is a legitimate ohl draft prospect, yet you keep him off your rankings. what’s up with that?

    1. What’s up with that is it’s my opinion. If you like Maguire, so be it. I just happen to like Marson and Hall.

  3. i’ve watched marson play and he has been outstanding everytime. he is very consistent with his play. although, you mentioned how he is 5’10 160, yet other websites say 5’8 180, has he grown and lost weight?
