Marson as an Espanola AP
Espanola Paper Kings of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League have confirmed that goalie Nick Marson of the Soo Jr. Greyhounds of the Great North Under 18 Hockey League is in their plans to once again be an affiliate player for the 2023-2024 season.
Paper Kings general manager Marc Gagnon acknowledged to Hockey News North that he asked Marson if he would be interested and that the 2007 birth year net minder verbally accepted the invitation to be an AP for Espanola again this coming season. Affiliate players cannot be officially signed by NOJHL teams until September.
Marson was an AP for Espanola for the second half of the 2022-2023 season when he was a member of the Sudbury U16 Nickel Capitals of the Great North U18HL. In fact, Marson came off the bench to play in one NOJHL game for the Paper Kings last season and stopped eight of nine shots in 18 minutes of action.
