On to the next level for this dandy duo.

Jackson Buffam

A pair of top performers from the New Liskeard Cubs of the Great North Midget Hockey League have signed with the Powassan Voodoos of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League.

They are forwards Ben White and Jackson Buffam.

White and Buffam were New Liskeard’s top two point producers during the 2019-2020 season. They were also sixth and seventh, respectively, on the Great North scoring chart.

White netted 19 goals, 31 assists, 50 points in 38 games to pace the New Liskeard points parade.

And Buffam was right behind with 18 goals, 31 assists, 49 points in 35 outings for a Cubs team that finished in sixth place with a record of 16-20-2 in what was an evenly-matched Great North.

Interestingly, while the two are born in different years, they are a mere month apart in age.

As Buffam was born on December 20, 2002, White was born a month later on January 20, 2003.

In signing with Powassan, both Buffam and White actually played in five games for the Voodoos as affiliate players in 2019-2020. Buffam managed to hit the scoresheet with a goal.
