O, O, Ouellette!
Goalie Keiran Ouellette netted his second successive shutout and the Sudbury U18 Nickel Capitals surged to their third straight win on Wednesday with a 5-0 blanking of the crosstown Sudbury U16 Nickel Capitals.
The latest victory boosted the U18 Nickel Capitals record to 8-14-0 in Great North Under 18 Hockey League play. Prior to the 5-0 whitewash of the U16 Nickel Capitals — who have now lost five straight games and have a record of 9-10-1 — the U18 Nickel Capitals skated to 3-0 and 10-2 wins over the last place North Bay U16 Trappers.
As for Ouellette, he has been in the net for all three U18 Nickel Capital wins with his goalie partner AJ Borrelli on temporary recall to the Blind River Beavers of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League.
