There was no quit in the visiting New Liskeard Cubs. But New Liskeard nonetheless dropped a 4-2 decision to the Soo Jr. Greyhounds today as the home team completed a three-game, Great North Midget Hockey League weekend sweep.

Michael Chaffay tallied a pair of goals and Calem Mangone and Gavin Ritacco found range once apiece as the first-place Jr. Greyhounds boosted their record to 15-4-2 atop the Great North standings.

Mangone, who just returned from the injured list on the weekend, now has five goals, four assists, nine points in just nine games this season.

Carter Richmond and Zach Lajoie replied for New Liskeard, which dropped to 5-9-1 with the defeat.

It was a penalty-filled contest from which there were several questioned — and questionable — calls from the officials that led to frustration on the part of players from both teams.
