U16 Hounds bring two to Soo
Soo Under 16 Jr. Greyhounds of the Great North Under 18 Hockey League have gone out of town to sign a pair of versatile skaters. Hockey News North has confirmed that Ethan Farquharson and Alexander Priem are slated to suit up for the U16 Jr. Hounds come the ’25-26 season.

Both can play forward and defence, U16 Jr. Hounds general manager Trev Zachary told Hockey News North.
A right hand shot, the 5 foot 11 Farquharson played with the Sudbury U15 AAA Wolves in ’24-25.
“He is big and strong with a great shot and is very aware defensively,” Zachary said of Farquharson. “He is going to be very difficult to play against.”
As for Priem, who stands in at 6 feet and who hails from Grand Rapids Michigan, he has skated for the U14 AAA Pittsburg Aviators and the U14 AAA Biggby Hockey Club.
“They are two very strong programs in the USA,” noted Zachary. “Priem is a good skater and has good offensive tendencies. He is going to help us a lot both offensively and defensively.”
