U16 Wolves work extra
Back to back overtime victories over their same age rivals from North Bay have the Sudbury Under 16 Wolves within range of seventh place among the nine teams of the Great North Under 18 Hockey League.

The 7-6 and 4-3 extra session wins by the U16 Wolves over the North Bay U16 Trappers gives Sudbury 19 points from a record of 9-16-1. The U16 Trappers, meanwhile, are at the .500 level with 29 points from a record of 13-13-3.
U16 Wolves head coach Clayton Bertrand relayed to Hockey News North the importance of coming away with four points from the two games against the U16 Trappers, noting that it puts Sudbury within two points of the seventh seed New Liskeard Cubs.
“This also gives us three wins in four games against North Bay this season,” said Bertrand.
The U16 Wolves now have two players who are at the 20 point mark in Great North play. Sam Piette leads the U16 Wolves with 11 goals, 12 assists, 23 points while Mikael Guerin is right behind with 11-9-20 totals.
