Jr. Hounds split with Trappers
Coach Guy Blanchard and his under 16 North Bay Trappers managed a weekend split of two games against the visiting under 18 Soo Jr. Greyhounds in Great North Under 18 Hockey League action.
The Soo took the opener 5-1 as late second period goals by Noah Aboflan and Cole Cond helped the Jr. Greyhounds pull away for the win. Aboflan finished with three goals while Anthony Blonda added a single tally.
Marshall McCharles had the lone goal for the Trappers.
However, it was a very different story to wrap up the weekend as North Bay goalie Michael Purkhart shut down the Soo en route to a 3-0 victory.
Mason Brownlee, Jesse Lefebvre and Anthony Boyes scored for the home side.
