The U18 Wolves have a league best record of 18-6-2. And while the Soo Jr. Greyhounds are in fifth place with a record of 10-10-2, they are on a seven game winning streak.

The two teams have already met four times this season. Sudbury took the first two tilts with resounding 5-2 and 7-2 home ice triumphs. And the last two times the two teams faced off, it was the Jr. Hounds upending the visiting U18 Wolves by 3-2 and 3-0 scores.

Both teams have two above average goalies. Sudbury features Carter Nadon with a 2.39 goals against average while Jackson Curran has a 2.56 GAA. For the Soo, A.J. Borrelli has a 2.51 GAA and Nick Marson has a 3.36 mark. Before returning to the lineup last weekend and posting a victory, Marson had missed significant time on the injured list.

Offensively, Sudbury is led by Ryan Daze with 16 goals, Aleksander Duguay with 15 and Bryden Shank with 14. Danny MacDonald tops the Soo goal scoring chart with 11 followed by Seb Dos Reis with nine and the hard-toiling Coulson Bell with eight.

Saturday’s game between the Jr. Hounds and the visiting U18 Wolves is slated for 3:30 p.m. at GFL Memorial Gardens.
