Sault Ste. Marie native Nicolas Sicoly made a point in his North American Hockey League debut with the Aberdeen Wings on Friday.

The 1998 birth year centre picked up an assist as Aberdeen edged the Minot Minotauros 2-1.

It was Sicoly’s first game action of the 2017-2018 season after he was let go by the Guelph Storm of the Ontario Hockey League prior to the start of training camp.

Sicoly had played two full OHL seasons with Guelph, scoring 10 goals in 130 games.
