Laker goalie leads the nation

Lake Superior State University Lakers are winless in eight games to start the 2014-2015 season but freshman goalie Gordon Defiel leads the nation in three categories.

Defiel, who has a personal record of 0-7 with a 3.64 goals-against-average and highly-respectable save percentage of.907, leads all Division 1, National Collegiate Athletic Association goalies in three areas.

To be sure, Defiel tops the nation in minutes played with 395:09, saves made with 235 and shots faced with 259.

  1. This is rather intesting as I beleive that Gordie Defeil was brought in by Coach Whitten to be the # 3 goalie and well look at him now. This has the making of a good story.

  2. At least we have some one to cheer for in our Goalie.
    Shit, this has been bad so far 0 for 8! I still say we are better off with a new Coach tho time will tell if we hired the best coach for the job.
    Oh well GO LAKERS GO.
