Laker season ticket, schedule info
Season-ticket packages for the 2014-2015 edition of the Lake Superior State University Lakers of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association are on sale and can be purchased at the ticket office located within the school’s Norris Center.
The full-season package, which includes 14 home games and three playoff games, will cost $162 for adults and $74 for children.
Snowbird packages, which include the first eight home games, are $80 for adults and $40 for children.
Single-game tickets are again $12 for adults and $6 for children (18-and-under). For groups of 10 or more, adult tickets are $8 and youth tickets are $4.
Unsold season tickets will be released to the public on August 31.
If the Lakers do not host a WCHA first-round playoff series, tickets will be refunded up until May 15, 2015.
As for the schedule, the Lakers will play host to Upper Peninsula rivals Michigan Tech Huskies and Northern Michigan Wildcats early in the season.
The Lakers open the 2014-2015 season and the era of new head coach Damon Whitten with an October 4-5 series against Michigan Tech. Whitten is a former assistant coach at Michigan Tech.
The Lakers will play Northern Michigan October 24-25 when LSSU celebrates Great Lake State Weekend.
As for other home games, LSSU will play host to Alaska (November 21-22), Minnesota State-Mankato (November 28-29), Bemidji State (January16-17), Alabama-Huntsville (February 13-14) and Ferris State (March 6-7).
Marquee road games for the Lakers include a series at North Dakota (December 5-6) and an appearance in the Florida College Hockey Classic, December 28-29 in Estero.
The Lakers trek to Alaska twice this season, visiting Alaska-Anchorage on October 31-November 1 and Fairbanks on February 6-7.
