10 in a row for T-Birds
They have a league best winning percentage of .813. And the Soo Thunderbirds will take a record of 30-5-5 into Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League play this week.
Not only that, the Thunderbirds have won 10 straight games, something that general manager and assistant coach Jamie Henderson credits to a team-first concept.
“(Head coach) Cole (Jarrett) has our guys believing what we are selling and the players in turn are buying in,” Henderson told Hockey News North. “It’s a tough league that we play in and there are so many good teams in both (West and East) divisions.
“Right now, we are in a good spot and I think it is because of the way we play as a team,” added Henderson. “We practice hard and play hard and do the little things the right way.”
Any idea why the Express can’t get any fans to there games?
