Espanola Paper Kings got a shutout of the sensational variety in stealing a 2-0 road victory from the Soo Thunderbirds in Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League action from Saturday.

Veteran goalie Jake Marois made 55 saves and thwarted the Thunderbirds on nine power play attempts to backstop the Paper Kings to a victory that moved fourth place Espanola to within three points of the Soo in the logjam standings of the West Division of the NOJHL.
Marois now has a record of 17-11-0 with a 3.62 goals against average and .909 save percentage for Espanola, which has 54 points on the season by way of a mark of 27-17-0.
