Home ice is where the Blind River Beavers will try to get even with the Powassan Voodoos in Games 3 and 4 of their Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League championship series.

Powassan leads the battle of small-market teams two games to none by virtue of a pair of home-ice victories to begin the best-of-seven set.

Now it is Blind River’s turn to play at home with Game 3 tonight and Game 4 on Friday evening in the Milltown.

The Beavers have used home ice to their advantage with a 6-1 record thus far in the playoffs, including four straight wins over visiting opponents in front of packed-to-the-rafters crowds at the Memorial Community Centre.

But this is a formidable foe that Blind River is facing in Powassan.

Thus far in the playoffs, the Voodoos have a record of 10-0, including a 4-0 mark on the road.
