An Ontario Hockey League prospect of the Owen Sound Attack is slated to develop with the Blind River Beavers of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League for the upcoming season.

He is Jackson Barnes, a 6-foot-2 defenseman with a 2004 birth date.

Barnes was picked by Owen Sound in the sixth round of the 2020 OHL priority selections draft.

And in heading to Blind River and the NOJHL, Barnes will be a welcome addition to the Beavers blue line.

“We are really excited to add a player like Jackson Barnes,” Beavers general manager and coach Kyle Brick told Hockey News North. “He is big strong and tough to play against and will really help round out our back end. There is a reason Owen Sound drafted him and our fans will be lucky enough to find out.”
