Battalion calls on a Voodoo

Forward Andy Baker, who leads the Powassan Voodoos of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League in goals, has signed an Ontario Hockey League contract with the North Bay Battalion.

Baker, who North Bay selected in the 14th round of the 2015 OHL draft, made his Battlion debut on Thursday in a win over the Oshawa Generals.

The Port Carling product has 15 goals, 5 assists, 20 points in 16 games for Powassan this season. The NOJHL Voodoos are the affiliate team of the OHL Battalion.

Baker is slated to return to the Voodoos tonight as they play host to the Timmins Rock in a 7:30 p.m. match at the Powassan Sportsplex.
