Beavers elect female president

Blind River Beavers of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League have elected a new president.

Rachelle Nyman, a 43-year old nurse, takes over from Bob Haworth as the newly-elected president of the Beavers.

Nyman was voted in at the Beavers annual general meeting, which was held on Tuesday night.

Her husband, Darren Nyman, was also elected as a new member of the Beavers board of directors.

The Beavers are coming off their worst season in NOJHL history.

2014-2015 regular season and playoffs included, the Beavers posted a record of 0-55-1.
