Beavers over Wings

Gavin Disano made 20 saves and three players acquired in mid season trades had multiple point outings as the Blind River Beavers struck first in their Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League preliminary round series with the Elliot Lake Red Wings.

Kyle Caron tallied twice, James Ingram had a goal and two assists and Andrew Tsotsos had three helpers as the Beavers began the best-of-three set on Monday with a 6-1 home ice win over the Red Wings.

Caron was obtained from the NOJHL’s Espanola Express, Ingram went to Blind River from Brockville of the Central Canada Hockey League and Tsotsos joined the Beavers from Markham of the Ontario Jr. Hockey League.

Game 2 in the West Division series goes tonight in Elliot Lake.
