Can David upset Goliath again?

Playing at home tonight, Blind River Beavers will be out to try to even their first-round, best-of-seven, Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League playoff series with Soo Thunderbirds.

After the Beavers stunned the Thunderbirds by stealing the series opener 3-2, the Soo has rebounded to take a 2-1 lead in the set with 3-2 and 6-0 triumphs.

After playing well in the first two contests, Blind River goalie Jessie Morin was shelled in Game 3 and pulled in favour of Dylan Knox, who blocked 14 of 15 shots in 24 minutes of relief work.

The fact that Blind River has even won a game in the series is astounding.

The Beavers finished in last place during the NOJHL regular season, 75 points back of the first-place Thunderbirds.

Blind River also lost all eight of its regular-season meetings with the Soo.
