Espanola Paper Kings of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League have summoned affiliate player forward Coulson Bell from the Sudbury U16 Nickel Capitals of the Great North Under 18 Hockey League for a pair of games this week.

Espanola general manager Marc Gagnon confirmed to Hockey News North that the plan is for Bell to be in the lineup when the Paper Kings play a road game against the Sudbury Cubs on Thursday and are home to the Soo Thunderbirds on Saturday. Espanola is currently in possession of the fourth and final playoff spot in the NOJHL’s West Division.

Bell impressed both Gagnon and Espanola head coach Jason Rapcewicz when he was first called up to play for the Paper Kings back in January of this year. A Sault Ste. Marie product, the 5-foot-11, 170 pound Bell has five goals, three assists, eight points in 21 regular season games for the U16 Nickel Capitals of Sudbury and is one of the better defensive forwards in the Great North from the 2007 age group. He is also fresh from a strong showing at the recent Team NOHA evaluation camp.
