Bird brain studies biology
Soo Thunderbirds defenceman Brandon Grandinetti has been named the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League’s scholastic player of the year.
With the honour, the 19-year old Grandinetti gets a $1,000 scholarship from Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) towards his post-secondary school education.
A top four defenseman with the two-time NOJHL champion T-Birds and an academic standout, Grandinetti is a second-year biology student at Algoma University.
