Birds add a big defender
Soo Thunderbirds of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League have gone to Western Canada to obtain 6-foot-5, 200 pound defenseman Ranon Joseph from the Portage Terriers of the Manitoba Jr. Hockey League.
The 19-year old Joseph is a veteran of both the MJHL and the Alberta Jr. Hockey League. He has played in 49 games between the two leagues over last season and this one.
The Thunderbirds head into the 2023 portion of the NOJHL regular season on a seven game winning streak.
