Soo Thunderbirds need a victory tonight to extend their best-of-seven Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League championship series with Kirkland Lake Gold Miners.
Game time is 7:30 p.m. at the Soo’s Essar Centre.
The Gold Miners lead the series three-games-to-one and can stake claim to the NOJHL title with a win tonight.
After the Soo took the series opener, Kirkland Lake has reeled off three straight wins to take command of the series.
Should the Thunderbirds win tonight, Game 6 of the set would be in Kirkland Lake on Tuesday.
