Blind River Beavers of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League have added seasoned depth to the forward lines with the signing of 1996 birth-year left winger Anthony Pullicino.

The 6-foot-2, 175-pound Pullicino heads to Blind River after spending the 2015-2016 season in the Greater Ontario Jr. Hockey League with both the Brampton Bombers and Waterloo Siskins.

In 42 regular-season games split between Brampton and Waterloo, Pullicino produced 7 goals, 16 assists, 23 points. He then skated in 18 playoff games for Waterloo and had 2 goals, 6 assists, 8 points.

Pullicino also showed a rugged side with 134 penalty minutes in 60 games last season.

Beavers first-year head coach Kyle Brick is looking forward to having Pullicino in Blind River.

“We’re excited to have Anthony aboard and as a 20-year old, we see him playing a major leadership role for us,” Brick told HockeyNewsNorth.com. “He’s an impact player and I’m looking forward to coaching him.”

The signing of Pullicino follows a move from earlier in the week when the Beavers inked Blind River product Caleb Serre to an NOJHL card as first reported by HockeyNewsNorth.com.

Serre, a 1999 birth-year forward, netted 31 goals in 24 games for the Blind River Thunder midgets of the Nickel District Minor Hockey League in 2015-2016.
