Coaching change in EL
Brian Noad has stepped down as head coach of the new Elliot Lake Red Wings of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League without having coached a game, Hockey News North has learned.
Noad is the older brother of Red Wings managing director Paul Noad.
The startling news comes just two weeks before the start of the 2021-2022 NOJHL season. The Red Wings have hired Jon Campbell as their new head coach.
Formerly the Wildcats and rebranded as the Red Wings, Elliot Lake is back in the NOJHL after not having a team in the league during the 2020-2021 season.
