Cochrane Crunch on a fishing trip
With the start of a lengthy 2015-2016 regular season less than a week away, members of the Cochrane Crunch of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League will experience outdoor life this Labour Day holiday weekend.
“We are going on a team fishing trip for the next three days,” Cochrane coach-general manager Ryan Leonard said of the bonding experience.
“We are going to go deep in the woods and let the kids experience Northern Ontario. We are going to go up in the bush, take some boats and have some fun. We will do some portaging up rivers and find an island on a lake and put up a prospector’s tent.
“All the boys will stay in one big, huge tent and learn to be a team over the next three days,” Leonard told Postmedia Network.
Could you give me your opinion on French River Rapids this year?
Good to see the Beavers won a game, and at home. Pre-season or not, it was needed.
